I feel very grateful to have just come back from a lovely press trip to Tenerife. It was to review a new (stunning) hotel (Royal Hideaway Corales Villas) with 6 other journos. But, while they went home, I stayed and flew my husband and son out to join me for another 5 days! Yes, I realise that does sound very extra of me but a holiday is just what we needed and the fact that it was in a beautiful private villa was icing on the cake.
Anyway, the fashion. I feel like I’m still trying to find the balance between finding something chic that I can throw on and be comfortable in and going all-out dressy so bear with me! The weather was boiling hot when the sun did make an appearance and chilly when it disappeared so I needed outfits that were multi-functional. So, let’s get into it…
SATURDAY
This outfit got a lot of love on Instagram and honestly, it is the most ‘me’ outfit i’ve worn in some time. This tie-up top is the perfect blend of casual and dressy, paired with my failsafe satin trousers and strappy sandals, it’s the ultimate dinner date look. Ideally I would’ve gone for a lighter-coloured bag but this Victoria Beckham clutch is the only evening bag I packed.
SUNDAY
Ah linen - my summer staples forever and, the more creased the better in my opinion! This tie-up skirt is slightly more sheer than I would’ve liked so will have to wear with a slip or my shirt over the back but I love how it gives this casual, laid-back feel. My linen shirt is fromWith Nothing Underneath - where I get all of my shirts as the quality is so amazing. I finished it with some gold tie-up sandals for a more Grecian feel and they’re so comfortable for walking around the local town.
MONDAY
A little moment for the accessories! We found the loveliest little seafood restaurant whilst the sun was still high so I didn’t want to get strap marks! This The Klayd bandeau top is so supportive and made from a really thick material so it’s perfect for those who don’t like a nipple outline! I went for a different vibe for the jewellery and opted for pearls with a beachy edge but kept it refined by teaming this Astrid necklace with Dior silver and pearl stud earrings.
TUESDAY
Along with linen, silk is also my spring/summer fabric of choice. This cream maxi dress is 90’s perfection in its simplicity but the tie-up back offers a bit of understated drama from behind. I wore this out for dinner in the hotel and wore it with some flat gold sandals - it was elegant but comfortable and one i’ll wear again and again.

WEDNESDAY
A chillier day bought this incredible cropped jacket that I’ve since seen go viral online and I’m not surprised as it looks so high-end. With a pleated front and shoulder lapels, it’s giving designer in an effortless way. I paired it with these tailored linen trousers and trusted nude sandals for a more formal lunch.
THURSDAY
This Third Form dress comes out every summer because it’s such a great evening dress, and as it’s made from a lightweight knit material, it lends itself to slightly cooler temperatures. I threw a white blazer over my shoulders and headed out for dinner on the terrace.
FRIDAY
I’m in a bandeau era clearly and this is actually a silk scarf I found in my wardrobe that I tied into a top. I’m not usually a colour or print kind of girl but there was something about this dyed green pattern that gave a slight boho edge to my favourite white barrel leg jeans. This Jennifer Behr necklace is also a new purchase that will feature heavily in my s/s wardrobe.
SATURDAY
I’m so happy I found this cover-up from H&M - it’s the perfect throw-on over swimwear to go to lunch or float around the house on days you just want to be comfortable but still feel put-together.
